The MS Community has possibly 50 threads saying "stuck at 95%" and a well-respected MVP there is (a) advising (in a very heavy manner) everyone ON THIS THREAD to create their own separate thread and to stop clogging up that thread. You'll see from many replies that Users disagree.
I've just disagreed with him, very respectfully I must add, and I've also suggested to the Mod and FO that THEY MUST DO MORE AT SUCH TIMES. I've given then examples on the chaos that already exists caused by users posting their own thread and I'm now awaiting the nuclear fall-out.
MS Cumulative WUs failed in October and also December so clearly they have problems.
165 users have been looking for help on a parallel thread HERE for the last three weeks. Is there an experienced person here who knows about partition parameters / EFI / ProfileImagePath(s) - (whatever they are), who could help? The MVP is also stomping around in this threads - in his eyes, users who are unhappy with the lack of help are simply griping. OMG.
as to the hung @ 95%, I'd have to be actually sitting in front of one doing that to see what's possibly occurring / not occurring
I didn't see or hear about that issue occur on any of the oranguten machines at the office which are all running "Oranguten Pro" it might have happened but as no one is around at night when stuff gets crapdates no one saw it if it did occur
I don't have any of my own systems running oranguten and likely never will so I would never see this problem
when I see that clown's non answers in the thread it gives me the want to post - I'm not having the problem at all, oh right I stayed on win 7
I find the lack of configuration options disturbing !
I felt a great disturbance in the force.. as if millions of win 7 systems suddenly cried out in terror.

Likewise, Welcome to taffy087.
I won't pull a joe (call u a name) co and demand that you post a .pdf of info on your machine, your system/build,eating habits, etc. KB 320 6632 for v1607 results in: build 14393.576
it spent a longer than usual time at 70% preparing to install with the fan running hard, other than that it took about 45minutes dwnld, install, restart to desktop for me on a brand new hp machine 12-16-2016.
That was with Delivery Optimization(DoSvc) completely disabled.
Just read your thread - you had me feeling sorry for those who clearly were struggling to understand. But they still marked it as answered" Wotta larf!By the way. I found two threads about similar WU failures in November 2015 and advice (which worked for some) was "Remove any USB/SD/DVD disk".Thanks for your welcome, Bayern A.User. That's a smart name - I should try a similar name (ex A.User?) on the MSC after I get banned shortly for upsetting a senior MVP!
Microsoft banning people who are/were actually trying to help other users from their user forum, yet fanbots like SRFreeman remain available for everyone's reading pleasure.
It really tells us what's going on (and what's not) in their company culture.
And as a secondary note, it tells us that the original visionary (e.g., Bill Gates) is really required to keep a company on course.

<Rick> Good video. It's almost hard to believe that at one time Windows 98 was the resource hog, but even then, it still ran circles around what Windows 10 can do on today's modern hardware and look a heck of alot better doing it.

<Rick> As stated elsewhere, So much for the launch of Windows 11, "The Great Crash." Myself, I had a hard time getting into the site listed above, when I did get in, the video was partly done and then it crashed. There has been many other reports of crashing.

<Rick> I see Microsoft has been very quick to pull down reports of site crashing regarding the Launch of Windows 11 on the Microsoft Insiders forum.

<Rick> With reports of people being able to install the dev-edition of Windows 11 on machines not meeting spec, I thought I would give it a what-the-heck try. Lucky me, I'm caught in the downloading, doesn't meet spec, clearing, re-downloading loop on my machine!

<Rick> I've recently purchased a license for ArcaOS from www.arcanoae.com/ to play with. First impressions, it's still OS/2, but it now has a Linux twist to it.

<dozrguy> laptop shit out and am stuck buying a new one. os win11 as fucked as win10 was?
Oct 2, 2021 12:56:10 GMT -6
<Rick> Let's see ..., my impression of Windows 11 is that it is a spruced up version of Windows 10 requiring a 64-bit processor plus a piece of security hardware that is less than 4 years old in order for it to run.

<Rick> On the plus side, Microsoft is supposed to be supporting Windows 10 for some time to come for those of us still using systems with I7 or older processors.

<dozrguy> STILL so much bullshit and so little time for the kiddie ideas from the hill. My new laptop (MSI GE 11-UH461) would be an awesome "10" machine but because of Winblows I can only give it a "2"......wasted $3500

<Rick> Hello. Just checking in.

<isidroco> Each new w10 update adds >100000 useless files to \Windows\Servicing\LCU\Package_for_RollupFix... folders. Even in a SSD takes time to delete that stuff. In each version they manage to worsen stuff.

<Rick> No, there does not seem to be very much traffic these days. I still check in from time to time.
