agree with the title. What you have to remember is this is not the same MSFT. The only thing that hasnt changed is the building. Staff, coders, exec's are all different and they all suck.
Kind of fun (not) as a non-insider i can't read Microsofts Windows 10 forum any longer, they demand a Microsoft account to do that.
For some reason I'm not seeing that behavior. I can visit the Windows Insider forum as a guest right from the Microsoft Answers homepage. As of now, Ami's post in the What do you really want with windows 10? thread is visible on the first page and I can read the whole thread just fine without signing in.
Microsoft, is Windows 10 the best you could do? Really? After promising to listen to our feedback, what a letdown!

I was able to read anonymously before. Maybe you can try with a browser that you've NEVER used on that forum before [or a microsoft login, or a cookie identifying you via passport, or anything similar].
there's a lot of tracking going on with cookies, scripting, etc. and I've noticed that if you don't enable these, the 'Insider' forum won't work at ALL. It's pathetic, really, seeing as all of that shit COULD be done on the server side without any serious impact, but NOOOooo... we have to pollute every client wiht poorly written Java scripting and other crap that makes my edit window less than 1/3 the width of the browser - shaped suspiciously like a PHONE SCREEN.
Honestly guys, I'm not seeing this behavior. I have Firefox set to clear cookies on exit, and can go right to the Insiders Forum. I can even vote as a guest and like your posts over and over again if I chose:
Just to make sure it wasn't a fluke, I logged into an old netbook at a remote location that's running XP and has never been to Microsoft Answers before. I tried Internet Explorer, but version 8 can't handle the thread carousel. I could navigate all the way to it, but the balls would just keep spinning and spinning while a script error appeared in IE8's status bar. Anyway, Firefox worked flawlessly on that computer too. Here's one of the latest thread posts viewed on that computer:

If i can't read their forum then i don't know if all bugs and other problems are fixed. As a businessowner that leads me to reject Windows 10 the same way i rejected Windows 8.x. If they continue like this, they sure loose me as their VIP-customer. Will never buy their BS ever again. Either my corp stay with what we have or transfer it all to Linux and Mac. I hate Mac, they spy on You as well, and they make it impossible to install their OS on any PC You really would install it to. My corp took the decision to transfer part of our computers that really can to transfer to Linux.

I followed all Your posts on Windows 10 TP forum because You think the same as me, eggsactly to be honest. Now i can't....damn MicroBS ! I could try IE8 on my XP....lol !
<Rick> Good video. It's almost hard to believe that at one time Windows 98 was the resource hog, but even then, it still ran circles around what Windows 10 can do on today's modern hardware and look a heck of alot better doing it.

<Rick> As stated elsewhere, So much for the launch of Windows 11, "The Great Crash." Myself, I had a hard time getting into the site listed above, when I did get in, the video was partly done and then it crashed. There has been many other reports of crashing.

<Rick> I see Microsoft has been very quick to pull down reports of site crashing regarding the Launch of Windows 11 on the Microsoft Insiders forum.

<Rick> With reports of people being able to install the dev-edition of Windows 11 on machines not meeting spec, I thought I would give it a what-the-heck try. Lucky me, I'm caught in the downloading, doesn't meet spec, clearing, re-downloading loop on my machine!

<Rick> I've recently purchased a license for ArcaOS from www.arcanoae.com/ to play with. First impressions, it's still OS/2, but it now has a Linux twist to it.

<dozrguy> laptop shit out and am stuck buying a new one. os win11 as fucked as win10 was?
Oct 2, 2021 12:56:10 GMT -6
<Rick> Let's see ..., my impression of Windows 11 is that it is a spruced up version of Windows 10 requiring a 64-bit processor plus a piece of security hardware that is less than 4 years old in order for it to run.

<Rick> On the plus side, Microsoft is supposed to be supporting Windows 10 for some time to come for those of us still using systems with I7 or older processors.

<dozrguy> STILL so much bullshit and so little time for the kiddie ideas from the hill. My new laptop (MSI GE 11-UH461) would be an awesome "10" machine but because of Winblows I can only give it a "2"......wasted $3500

<Rick> Hello. Just checking in.

<isidroco> Each new w10 update adds >100000 useless files to \Windows\Servicing\LCU\Package_for_RollupFix... folders. Even in a SSD takes time to delete that stuff. In each version they manage to worsen stuff.

<Rick> No, there does not seem to be very much traffic these days. I still check in from time to time.
